We are looking forward to our 4th annual Orientation week, scheduled for March 4th - 8th, 2024.This week is for students currently in grades 8 through 12 and is geared to answering questions you might have about the grad program, what types of courses and requirements you should be aware of, how to plan, meeting the Grad program team - and some fun!

Our team is ready to help! Grad Advisors are eager and willing to meet with you now to talk about next year. Additionally, meetings after February 16th, (that are focused on planning for the 24/25 school year) will be given QR codes towards the ScanHunt activity.

HCOS Scholarships

We are excited to be offering HCOS Scholarships to our graduating students this year! We have 10 awards available to distribute. 

Applications are now open and will be accepted until May 1st @ 6:00pm.Please note that the complete application and reference form are due by that time.

Provincial Scholarship Program

It's that time of the year to plan for post-graduation goals. The good news is, if you are in grades 9-11, there is plenty of time to get things in order. For starters, are you

Between grades 9-11, you want to build your portfolio of experience. These experiences help you to gain valuable skills and abilities moving you towards greater independence and ultimately the ability to earn scholarships and bursaries.

Take some time to watch some of our older scholarship sessions and stay tuned for new and exciting workshops in the fall and new year!

Grade 12 students, it's not too late! Reach out to your GA if you are looking into scholarships and be sure to watch our older info sessions linked above. Make sure to check out the provincial scholarship program on the government website and the scholarship links on the post-secondary institution pages you plan to attend.

Do you want to be a part of a team that creates school spirit, is a voice for the students and help with committee work? Then the HCOS Student Council would love to have you join them as a general member! 

The student council will act as the voice of the student body. The council will advocate student ideas, interests and concerns with the school wide community while reflecting the HCOS learner profile of a reflective and adaptable thinker who is inquisitive, discerning and full of wonder at God’s world. And an advocate who is responsive to the needs of others, servicing in order to have an impact on a world in need of redemption.

How to initiate support

Student Support Centre (SSC) is a Online-based universal support provided by an EA in Literacy or Numeracy and is offered to students needing assistance in grades 5-12. It is important to note that you do not need a referral for this, you may access the SSC at any point throughout the year.

Experiences Canada Exchange

Become a youth ambassador through the Experiences Canada exchange program both group and virtual!
